Four years after first opening its doors, MN Sportscards is celebrating a major milestone: the grand opening of its brand‑new, purpose‑built shop at 1400 E 7th St, right off I‑94 in Monticello. What began in early 2022 as a small venture among friends and collectors has grown into one of the premier hobby destinations in the Upper Midwest — and Saturday’s celebration will show exactly how far they’ve come.
The doors open at 11AM on Saturday, June 20th, and a large turnout is expected. A Sheriff’s deputy will be on site to help manage traffic, so please slow down when approaching the area. Parking is available at MN Sportscards and across the street at National Bank. Attendees are asked to avoid parking in the Big Bore lot and to use the crosswalk for safety.
Guests entering through the front door at 11 will receive a free Leaf pack containing a bonus card of either Randy Moss or Kevin Garnett. Anyone lucky enough to pull the 1/1 parallel can bring it to an employee to claim a $250 gift card. Kids 15 and under can stop by the counter for a free raffle ticket, and additional raffle tickets are earned for every $50 spent throughout the day. In total, MN Sportscards is giving away around $10,000 in prizes.
Fans will also have the opportunity to meet Blake Cashman, Will Reichard, and Josh Metellus during scheduled autograph sessions. Autographs are free, with a limit of one per person per player. To keep lines moving, inscriptions and photos with players will not be allowed during the signing windows. Free photos will be available for anyone who doesn’t bring their own items, and Metellus and Reichard jerseys will be available for purchase at $60 each.
Two special repacks will be available exclusively for the grand opening:
- Babes Bullions – Only 100 available. A longtime trade‑night favorite, each pack guarantees a solid hit with a floor of $80 and a ceiling of $1,250.
- Pokémon Bullions – Only 50 available, offering a fun TCG‑focused chase.
