Card Shop Tour: Triple Diamond Sports Cards & Collectibles (Eagan)

Triple Diamond’s Eagan shop is the original flagship that launched their brand. From this store, they expanded into Fargo, ND and Bensalem, PA just over a year ago. Located in a strip mall on Cliff Road just off Hwy 77/Cedar, the shop looks modest from the outside. Step inside, though, and it’s immediately clear why this place has become a hub for collectors across the southeast metro.

The store was buzzing during my recent visit. Collectors of all ages and interests filled the space — families, young adults, longtime hobbyists, Pokémon fans, sports collectors, and several people asking about grading. It’s the kind of steady, diverse foot traffic that signals a healthy, thriving shop.

The perimeter of the store is lined with 13 display cases, split cleanly between sports and TCG. The right side is sports, which has 5 cases of singles organized by sport: football, basketball, baseball, hockey, and a mixed case. It also has 4 cases of wax, and the walls behind the counters are full of sealed product as well. The left side of the store is focused on TCG. It has 2 cases of singles and 2 cases of wax. Just like the sports section, the walls are full of sealed product. The layout is intuitive, balanced, and easy to navigate — a small detail that makes a big difference.

In the center of the store sits a display case dedicated to premium wax such as National Treasures and Noir, and unique items. One piece immediately jumped out: an authenticated Babe Ruth autograph on a map of a golf course. There are a few tables near a large island of clearly labeled value boxes stored on pull‑out shelving. Labels included: Pokémon, Football, Baseball, Michael Jordan, Minnesota Twins, and more. This is where I spent most of my time. I found a few Topps Gold rookies to get signed at TwinsFest and couple PC additions. The organization here is exceptional — something you don’t see often enough in card shops.

Triple Diamond goes out of its way to help collectors make informed decisions. They have menus like you’d see at a restaurant that describe all of the sealed products – they list hits, rookies, key players, and pack odds for each product. The breaks display case includes a simple explanation of how breaks work. These touches make the store more accessible for newcomers while still serving experienced collectors. Beyond retail, they offer several services such as eBay consignment, grading reviews and submissions.

Triple Diamond’s Eagan flagship is energetic, organized, and collector‑focused from top to bottom. Whether you’re digging through value boxes, browsing high‑end pieces, or getting help with grading or consignment, the shop delivers a complete hobby experience. It’s easy to see why this location became the foundation for their growth.
